o___________o….. Umm, Ichigo was VERY depressed when Rukia wasn’t with him. Just because someone says something (“I’m not lonely”) doesn’t mean that that’s what they ACTUALLY feel. Ichigo DREAMED about Rukia. When he heard her voice he was shocked. & when Rukia came back in Ch. 459, all of the hope & life returned to his eyes the INSTANT he saw her.
‘Speaking is NOT communication’
I think Ichigo’s characters stays very much true to those words. 

As if a whole panel dedicated to the words, “Rukia hasn’t visited for 17 months,” doesn’t express that.
